Who This Home Is Right For
If you have been told your loved one’s needs are too complex for a small home, start here. This house has cared for residents with some of the most demanding conditions we take on, including a resident with Huntington’s disease who lived here for more than five years.
It also suits residents who simply want a private room, since all six rooms here are private. Residents in the early and middle stages of dementia, residents with Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions, and residents already receiving home health or hospice care are all a fit. It is not the right home for someone actively trying to leave the house or someone who needs an awake caregiver through the night, and we will say so on the first call.
What the House Is Like
Up to six residents, six private rooms, on Amethyst Avenue in the Alta Loma foothills. A caregiver lives on site around the clock, seven days a week. Meals are cooked in the kitchen, three a day plus snacks, adapted for documented dietary needs. A licensed physician visits monthly and medications are delivered six days a week.
The Neighborhood
Amethyst Avenue runs through Alta Loma in the northern foothills of Rancho Cucamonga, on a residential street rather than a commercial corridor. San Antonio Regional Hospital is roughly fifteen minutes away. Street parking out front, and visiting hours are whenever you want to visit.
